I give you… THE BEST SEO BLOGS OF 2018

The most successful business owners, webmasters, marketers and search engine optimizers rely heavily on the expert knowledge doled out by the best SEO Blogs – proven sources stacked with SEO masterminds who share what works, what doesn’t and what is new in search engine optimization.

Backlinko

Brian Dean is very well known in the SEO industry, and the Backlinko blog is where you get to learn all that this optimization genius wants to share. Have you heard of the “Skyscraper Technique”? That’s his brainchild, and he practices what he preaches. He packs so much data and actionable content into each post that they average over 3k words, and he gets over 100k visitors a month.

Do you like no fluff, actionable, fact-based content? Of course you do. And the Backlinko blog has never disappointed.

I don’t enjoy reading two pages of one-sentence paragraphs about the one time you did something, and it didn’t work out but then you tried a new way and it did before you get to what I personally need to do to get things done (looking at you Neil Patel). So I deeply appreciate how helpful and useful each Backlinko blog post is.

ABOUT BACKLINKO: If you’ve ever wondered: “Where can I find actionable SEO advice that gets results?”, you’re in the right place. Backlinko is where professional marketers turn for proven SEO advice. My effective SEO advice is why marketers from companies like Apple, Disney, IBM, and Amazon subscribe to my email newsletter. And my results-focused approach to SEO is likely why Inc recently said: “Brian is a really smart SEO guy who knows what’s he’s talking about because he lives it every day.”

SEMRush

Man! Do the guys (and gals) over at SEMRush put out a ton of long-form content. I’m talking about there is something new on their blog almost every day to help you optimize the hell out of whatever you are doing in that other tab on your browser.

Does the SEMRush blog publish some posts on how to use SEMRush to be a digital marketing master? Yes. But mostly it is just packed with information on how to improve your SEO and PPC efforts. I know this because I’m slightly stalker-ish with following SEMRush on Twitter where they are very active and constantly promoting content I not only read but frequently share.

ABOUT SEMRUSH: SEMrush started out in 2008 as a small group of SEO and IT specialists united by one mission — to make online competition fair and transparent, with equal opportunities for everyone. After seven years of trailblazing experiments and constant progress… we at SEMrush are still loyal to the fundamental values that got us to where we are now — adapting to change over following a strict plan and always placing individuals over processes.

The Search Engine Watch blog has been around since 1996, so they have seen it all. Whether it’s reporting the latest updates – sometimes before Google has even released this information – to instructing us on best practices, Search Engine Watch is doing it and doing it well.
